Gilded filigree turquoise gawu bo

"Ga'ou" is the transliteration of the Xizang language, referring to the box used to protect the Buddha. Inside the box, there are usually small Buddha statues, silk pieces printed with scriptures, relics or nectar pills, pills prescribed by senior monks after chanting scriptures, as well as fragments of the living Buddha's hair and clothes. It is used for protection, reducing negative karma and enhancing spiritual practice.
